My story

With a family in the medical field, helping people has always been important to me, but being a doctor was not for me. With an inquisitive and curious mind about what surrounded me, I was early on attracted to the corporate world and strategy more specifically. I wanted to become a consultant to help organisations. I saw a consultant as being similar to a doctor, but for organisation, therefore fulfilling my desire to help people and contribute.

As a non-native English speaker and not knowing how things worked in the UK when settled in 2005, it took some time. With perseverance and focus I first landed a strategic business analyst role before being offered a consulting role in a start-up consulting team that I helped build alongside great colleagues. Building is core to my belief, and I felt excited by the challenge. I moved from an analyst role to director in the space of nine years.

I offered strategic support to organisations that wanted to grow, access new markets, develop new products, or just be better at what they were already doing. In a way, helping them to create a vision, articulate it, and design the actions to implement it, or understand where they were and what they needed to do to reach where they wanted to be. I worked with CEOs and high level executive in an industry that had a social impact, insurance.

I had achieved a great deal in my professional career, but something was missing.

In parallel, I started my inward journey about ten years ago attending, by chance, a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) weekend. Since then, I have trained, read books, listened, and attended seminars. I haven’t looked back.

I am passionate about personal development. Working on my own initially, but then realising that that there is nothing greater than to see others blossom. I truly believe each one of us has a hidden Extraordinary.

In 2013, I attended my first Tony Robbins event, which showed me more about the power of coaching and transformation, as I walked on burning charcoal.

Then, in the summer of 2019, I accidently stumbled upon a book that changed everything for me, the “Big Five for Life” by John Strelecky. I discovered that my Big Five are Discover, Connect, Build, Support, and Grow. So, I realised that my mission was to help others grow in their own journey.

This had been in the back of my mind, but not with clarity until now.

In 2019, as I enrolled in Tony Robbins’ Master University to go further, I met some truly extraordinary people, many of them coaches. I then started to be coached myself. I loved the journey, the challenge, the vision, the support, the accountability, and the realisation of my own blind spots.

I wanted to offer it to people around me, and this is how I started curating a blog about personal development, and publishing a weekly newsletter on the topic of personal growth.

Then Covid arrived and changed the course of my life; of all our lives. A 180 degree shift on the journey that was supposed to be mine, and the plane I meant to board earlier that year. “I want to make an impact on real people, I want to support those who want more for themselves and in their life, I want to help people go from where they are to where they want to be.”

All of a sudden everything fell into place.

Back in April 2020, an epiphany dawned on me as I realised that I was meant to become a coach and focus on what my mission is, helping people see what’s possible and help them get there faster!
